What other features do Tasaki air-conditioning units offer?
Air conditioning does more than just heat or cool the air. The can be set to control humidity. Tasaki’s unique Ion Generator/Plasma system will remove smoke, pollen and other impurities from the air. The Nano Plasma technology effectively kills viruses and bacteria and removes odours.

Are they expensive to run?
All Tasaki air con units are supplied as standard with a high efficiency Heat Pump. They will keep you cool in summer and warm in winter. For every 1KW of electrical energy used they will produce almost 3KW of heat energy. With current energy price rises, this form of heating is comparable or cheaper than heating with mains gas. Good for you and the environment.

Are they noisy?
Tasaki systems use quiet running fans for both the internal and external systems. The noisy level is non intrusive for both the units.

Do I need to pay for a professional installation?
A competent DIYer with a range of standard hand tools should be able to complete the installation and commissioning. You will need to drill a 70 mm hole in the wall through which the pipes are fed. (You may need to hire a core drill from you local hire centre). The internal unit is mounted on a bracket which is supplied. The pipes are connected with compression fittings. The control cable which connects the inside unit to the outside is numbered for ease of installation. When all the connections have been made the refrigerant is released into the system from the outside unit. A standard installation should take around 3 hours but if you are new to this then double the time should be allowed. The electricity supply is fed directly to the outside unit so you should ensure that an electricity supply is nearby. A standard 13a plug socket is all that is required for 12 & 18000Btu systems. Larger units will require a qualified electrician to connect the unit back to the consumer unit.

Aren’t they limited to the few warm weeks in Summer?
All Tasaki units offer climate control. They have the ability to heat and cool and will give a comfortable environment all year round. They can be used as a primary heating source to give a cost effective solution.
